When you go shopping, do you read labels to look for “BPA free”? If you don’t see it stated on the package, here’s a tip on how you can tell that your favorite beverage is in a BPA free container. The answer is all in the recycling symbol on the bottom of the bottle. Turn over a Hawaiian Springs Natural Artesian water bottle and stamped on the bottom is a recycling triangle with the number “1” and the letters “PETE”. PETE or PET stands for an entirely different type of plastic called polyethylene terephthalate. PET is globally recognized as a safe, recyclable packaging material and BPA is completely absent from the PET manufacturing process. Hawaiian Springs Water has always been in a BPA free bottle.

In fact, as stated in our water quality report, our protected source is monitored many times a day to ensure the artesian water is safe and of extremely high quality.
